Supervise daily activities of the transportation private fleet, routing operations, and commercial operations. Maintain budget requirements, staffing, talent management, equipment, driver/route scheduling, secure back‑up labor, training, and DOT compliance. Implement initiatives to optimize transportation expenses and provide analysis and consultation to facility/region management.

• Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Coordinate traffic operations with internal departments, third‑party vendors, and customers; supervise drivers across multiple sites.
• Supervise employee workloads and objectives to maximize staff effectiveness.
• Act as liaison between customers, distribution, internal supply chain, sales, marketing… to resolve inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (EH&S, OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT).
• Train new employees and participate in staff training as needed.
• Recruitanion, interview, select, and manage talent, performance management, and activities to achieve objectives.
• Handle customer service inquiries; use judgment and diplomacy to resolve complaints.
• Act as escalation point for employees requiring special handling.
• Participate in budget and forecasting processes.
• Administer and support standard operating procedures, regulations, and quality procedures.
• Travel as necessary to off‑site locations.
• Report to the Regional Field Manager for oversight and development.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years DOT/transportation experience or relevant experience working with driver positions.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning, and communication skills; customer orientation, collaboration, and the ability to prioritize major improvement activities.
• Ability to work independently and in a matrix environment.
• Set performance standards to meet budgetary targets.
• Results oriented; MLS able to collaborate with counterparts in other functions.
• Proficient in many computer applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, DOT on‑board computers, =… warehouse management systems.

Estimated base salary: $72,000 to $99,000 annually. The range may vary based on market data and other factors.
