Job Description Summary

The Director, Strategic Sourcing will lead the company’s end‑to‑end strategic sourcing process and teams, be accountable for performance across all global sites, and lead with a focus on risk mitigation, margin optimization, strategic supplier relationships, regulatory compliance, and ensuring consistent value delivery through resilient supply continuity. This role is accountable for driving year‑over‑year margin improvement, sourcing excellence, elevating procurement strategies, and empowering a high‑performing team across multiple global sites while also driving collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement in a complex, fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge,

Skills, and Abilities
  • Very Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets using tools such as Tableau, Power

    BI, etc.
  • Proficient in SAP ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; work experience in a matrix environment desirable.
  • Formal problem‑solving training highly desirable, e.g., Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical skills, including cost‑benefit, ROI, total landed cost, etc.
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Focus‑oriented with attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and drive global strategic sourcing strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to design and implement tailored professional development pathways to foster continuous learning, career progression, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Provide pricing and contract proposals for global supply requirements, balancing competitiveness, cost, quality, and supplier sustainability across regions.
  • Lead end‑to‑end strategic sourcing optimization, integrating strategic procurement, inventory control, and supply risk mitigation to improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance operational agility.
  • Align supplier capabilities with business demand to minimise stockouts, reduce excess, and support scalable growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to fully execute on margin optimisation projects and targets.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap to fully support M&A, including integration and optimisation.
Supplier & Category Management
  • Manage supplier selection, onboarding, and performance reviews for critical categories.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and master agreements with strategic suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier landscapes to inform competitive sourcing and innovation opportunities.
  • Translate strategic sourcing insights into operational planning milestones, helping to shape inventory targets, capacity planning, and lead time expectations.
  • Analyze supplier capacity, market constraints, and internal demand patterns to proactively manage risk and continuity.
Sourcing Metrics
  • Ensure performance to global sourcing metrics, including OTD, inventory, scrap, pricing, and others as developed.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 7–10 years professional experience in a management role within supply chain or procurement.
  • Professional Supply Chain or Purchasing designation/accreditation (CPIM, CSCP, CIPS), or actively working towards.
Environmental Working Conditions
  • Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
  • Work assignments are diversified, frequently requiring creative thinking, analysis, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
