Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to lead and oversee the logistics and purchasing operations. This role involves managing procurement strategies, inventory optimization, and supplier relationships to enhance operational efficiency and support the company's production and supply chain objectives. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to streamline purchasing processes while supervising a dynamic team.
Job Description
- - Supervise procurement activities for production and supporting departments, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- - Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms.
- - Approve and issue purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and alignment with company needs.
- - Monitor and manage the purchasing database, maintaining detailed and accurate records of all transactions.
- - Resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor issues to maintain positive relationships.
- - Provide support and guidance to team members on purchasing processes and best practices.
- - Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals.
- - Identify opportunities for process enhancements in procurement and inventory management.
- - Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in purchasing operations.
- - Prepare and present regular reports to management on purchasing and logistics performance.
- - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- - 3+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- - Strong bilingual communication skills (Korean and English required).
- - Proven expertise in database management, recordkeeping, and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
- - Excellent organizational and leadership abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- - Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
