Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant located in Buford, GA. The accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and maintain job cost entries, including direct cost and closing entries
  • Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with variance analysis and maintain various schedules.
  • Support audits and provide documentation as required
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data and communicates financial information to department heads & product line managers
  • Ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
  • Assisting with audits and other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 2-5 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Kova, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure and withing short deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
