Field Service Technician – Freeze Drying Systems

$60,000–$65,000/year + overtime + bonus

Up to 80% travel (domestic & international) - Primary location:
Buffalo, NY

This is a Field Service Technician role where you travel a lot to customer sites and work on pharmaceutical freeze‑drying machines. You’ll do preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, help install new equipment, and work directly with customers. It’s very hands‑on, technical, and travel‑heavy

• Perform preventive maintenance on freeze‑drying systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues (PC/PLC)
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup
• Complete service reports and maintain quality documentation
• Provide on‑call support as required
• Represent the company professionally while building strong customer relationships

• Technical certificate or associate degree (electro‑mechanical, process, or related field) or equivalent hands‑on experience
• 3–5 years of experience installing, commissioning, or maintaining industrial equipment
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with complex industrial systems (pharma/biotech preferred)
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including internationally

• Experience in FDA‑regulated environments
• Familiarity with freeze‑drying (lyophilization) processes
• Ability to troubleshoot independently under time constraints
