Maintenance Technician – Brewtopia Operations

YOUR MISSION

The Maintenance Technician supports Brewtopia’s quick‑service restaurant operations by ensuring all equipment, facilities, and guest‑facing areas operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role partners closely with store leadership and operations teams to minimize downtime, protect brand standards, and support a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Maintain and repair QSR equipment including espresso machines, brewers, grinders, refrigeration, ice machines, HVAC, and lighting.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and service disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration issues with speed and accuracy.
  • Verify equipment performance meets Brewtopia operational standards after repairs.
Facility Maintenance
  • Maintain interior and exterior conditions to brand standards (lighting, flooring, doors, restrooms).
  • Address safety hazards immediately and document corrective actions.
  • Support store refreshes, and equipment installs as needed.
Operations & Brand Support
  • Respond to maintenance tickets within defined standards.
  • Prioritize repairs based on guest impact, food safety, and revenue risk.
  • Communicate clearly with store managers on issue status, timelines, and workarounds.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long‑term fixes or equipment replacements.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with health department, food safety, fire, and OSHA standards.
  • Follow Brewtopia safety procedures including lockout/tagout.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, repair documentation, and parts usage records.
  • Support inspections and audits as required.
Vendor & Inventory Coordination
  • Coordinate with approved vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Ensure cost‑effective repairs without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in QSR, food service, retail, or hospitality.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and digital work orders.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Brewtopia locations.
Preferred
  • EPA refrigeration certification.
  • HVAC, electrical, or facilities certification.
  • Experience supporting multi‑unit restaurant operations.
  • Familiarity with coffee and beverage equipment.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear communicator with a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • High attention to detail and safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, water, grease, and cleaning chemicals.
Work Schedule
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on‑call rotation as required by operations.
