Chemist

Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances in order to meet customer requirements. Has knowledge of commonly-used analytical concepts, practices, and procedures within clasical wet chemistry. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Job functions does require some exercising of independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Must have analytical chemistry skills (experience in wet chemical, organic, inorganic and classical chemistry) - Ability to balance chemical equations and perform chemical calculations, knowledge/operation of Karl Fischer, UV/VIZ and auto-titrators. R&D Lab develops fluorine containing molecules for foams and refrigeration production. Preference is for candidate to have 2+ years previous experience in an analytical lab.

Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry and 2+ years of experience in lab analysis.
