As a Business Development Representative for the Hoisting & Construction division, As a Business Development Representative at RGC Products, you'll play a critical role in driving sales growth through our distribution partners and direct engagement with end users. You will serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned customer base, focusing on expanding our presence within the construction, roofing, and lifting equipment markets.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, creating value for clients, and delivering solutions that align with RGC's reputation for durability and performance. You'll work closely with internal teams and channel partners to identify growth opportunities, provide product expertise, and support the execution of territory sales strategies. With minimal travel (approx. 20%), this role is designed for a focused, consultative seller who can balance strategic account management with new business development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and key end users
- Identify and close new sales opportunities within assigned territory and accounts
- Develop a deep understanding of RGC's product offerings and communicate value effectively
- Collaborate with internal marketing and product teams to support promotions and product launches
- Provide feedback from the field to support product development and positioning
- Support onboarding and training efforts for new distributors or reseller reps
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and account activity records in CRM
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in construction or industrial equipment sectors
- Proven ability to manage and grow sales through distribution and channel partnerships
- Comfortable presenting to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑starter with strong time management and organizational ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed for trade shows, distributor visits, and customer
