Role Summary

The Neurology Account Manager (Upstate NY/Buffalo) is responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory. This role reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and involves executing sales strategies, building relationships, and ensuring appropriate product access and reimbursement. The position requires a high level of product and market knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain a high and current level of product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain full compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
  • Required:

    Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
  • Required:

    Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
  • Required:

    Fortitude to sell in a competitive environment with a hunter mentality.
  • Preferred:
    Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory.
  • Required:

    Ability to travel (may include overnights) and potential out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings.
  • Required:

    Work hours may include meetings outside of normal business hours.
  • Required:

    Must reside within the territory geography.
