Primary Objective
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Petroleum Distributor Sales Manager. This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational and communications abilities, and general knowledge of the petroleum or convenience store industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing sales territory across multiple states, developing, and implementing effective sales strategies to drive business growth, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships while identifying new opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
- Use CRM best practices to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Develop marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to support sales objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding new customers by developing and adhering to internal procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, or experience in petroleum or related industries.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent decision-making, communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
