Job Description
The cook position reports to the manager or, in his or her absence, the sous chef. The cook is responsible for the production of food items for patients and retail services, prepping items for the next day's menu, supporting catering and other food outlets as needed. The cook must maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and keep equipment in good working condition.
Educationand Credentials
High School Diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceOne year full-time or two years part-time as a cook or cook’s assistant in a food service institutional setting is required. Appropriate food preparation experience in a commercial (restaurant) food service setting may be accepted within the same time frame. Good basic math skills and the ability to adjust recipes for volume.

Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
