Responsibilities
- Develop novel Monte Carlo simulation algorithms and software to model challenging gas adsorption in metal‑organic frameworks (MOFs). This research is expected to accelerate the materials discovery to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Develop novel machine learning models to rapidly predict gas adsorption behavior in MOFs. This will enable high-throughput screening of materials for desired properties.
- Perform molecular simulations and quantum mechanical calculations to understand adsorption and transport mechanisms in porous materials, in order to explain the real-world observations from our experimental collaborators.
- Prepare high-quality manuscripts and conference presentations using the relevant results from duties 1-3.
