Summary:

The department seeks candidates to elucidate fundamental mechanisms contributing to cancer initiation and progression at molecular, cellular, and organismal levels. Research directions focus on genetics, developmental pathways, and cellular features of cancer using genetically-engineered and patient-derived models. The position aims to advance understanding of tumor etiology, metastasis, therapeutic responses, and the complexity of the cancer phenotype. The successful candidate will actively participate in Departmental and Cancer Center research efforts and contribute to the department’s expertise, creativity, and energy.

• Required
  
  Education and Experience:
  
  PhD or MD in an appropriate scientific or clinical-based discipline and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in an applicable scientific or clinical research environment.
• Note:
  
  Degrees must be granted by an accredited college or university or as recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Doctoral degree and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in a relevant scientific or clinical research environment; demonstrated strong publication and/or funding track record in cancer research.
