Registered Nurse - Field Assessor - LTS

Rate: $100 per visit

As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you will be completing Long Term Care insurance assessments. These hands-off assessments require you to obtain claimant demographics, physician information, a current medication list, and evaluate the claimant’s functional level of independence.

The assessment process also involves completing a brief cognitive screening and evaluating the claimant’s ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy and able to use a point of care web application/system on a laptop or tablet in real time for documentation purposes.

As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you will be responsible for the following:

• Completing Long Term Care insurance assessments.
• Obtaining claimant demographics, physician information, and current medication lists.
• Evaluating the claimant’s functional level of independence.
• Completing a brief cognitive screening.
• Evaluating the claimant’s ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks.
• Demonstrating good clinical reasoning and judgment as it relates to assessing ADL performance, cognition, and home safety.
• Utilizing point of care technology when completing assessments.

• Current, unencumbered RN licensure in state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or 2 years nursing experience in an equivalent area of practice serving the older adult population.
• Willingness to obtain a professional liability insurance policy.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
