Nights with Weekend and Holiday Rotation (6:45 pm–7:00 am)

Summary:

Coordinates total nursing care for patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Deliver direct nursing care during assigned shifts.
• Educate patients, families, and staff about health conditions and care techniques.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluations.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school; must pass the New York State licensing board within four (4) months of hire.
• BLS certification; revalidate in accordance with AHA standards.
• ACLS certification; revalidation within six (6) months of hire per AHA standards.
• Recent RN experience; beginning practitioners gaining experience under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse may apply.

• Maintain up‑to‑date professional knowledge related to nursing practice.
• Adhere to hospital policies, legal standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Assist in directing a small group of employees performing semi‑skilled tasks.
• Efficiently manage supplies, equipment, and time to minimize waste.

• Must have good mental and physical health.
• Capable of coping with stress and handling multiple priorities.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases.
