Success Coach
Buffalo, NY • $45,000 - $50,000/year

Primary Responsibilities- Oversee the selection process and supervise Peer Mentor(s).
- Update and maintain the Buffalo Futures digital platform, including gathering success stories.
- Coordinate with partners to ensure community program information is current.
- Responsible for intake of HUB participants, assess vocational and educational needs, and develop a service plan for each participant.
- Act as a liaison with workforce development, educational institutions, community stakeholders, human services, and local governmental agencies across the region.
- Maintain a coaching log for each HUB participant.
- Prepare regular, comprehensive reports on data related to program activities and outcomes to the HUB Director.
- Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and submit reports to appropriate agencies and the HUB Director.
- Develop and maintain partnerships in the public, non-profit, and private sectors to connect participants to educational and career opportunities aligned with their interests and goals.
- Work to engage aspiring young professionals by leveraging relationships with community partners, building a robust referral network, and facilitating presentations.
Associates degree in related field.
One (1) year of experience working with individuals age 16-24.
Previous Supervisory Experience Preferred.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred.
Skills & Abilities- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer skills; experience using a variety of social media platforms for outreach.
- Understanding of the challenges that youth face (interrupted schooling, homelessness, system involvement, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and sustain relationships with people from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must maintain strong rapport with youth and young adults.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and partners.
- Ability to effectively manage time and work on multiple tasks in a high-pressure/short-deadline environment; adapt to changes in workload demand and priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods, with occasional walking and standing.
- Must be able to read, write routine reports, and speak effectively with a diverse community.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Physical examination record or pass physical examination by a CAO physician.
- Valid NYS Drivers License and proof of motor vehicle insurance coverage.
- CAO Employment application.
- NYS SCR Clearance Form with acceptable clearance.
- Criminal Record Certification and free of criminal convictions of crimes against children (misdemeanor or felony).
- Fingerprinting required.
- Release for Reference Checks.
