- Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components.
- Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications.
- Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication.
- Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, work holding, and inspection challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility.
- Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.
- Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
- Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment.
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience.
- Proficiency in CNC Milling Machining, including multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers.
- Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.
