- Lead the development of manufacturing processes for new aerospace components.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives across engineering teams.
- Create and prove out N/C programs, operation sequences, work holding design concepts, tooling/gauge lists, and detailed work instructions.
- Support and improve existing production processes through hands-on shop floor engagement.
- Estimate time standards, labor ratios, and economic run quantities for complex parts.
- Generate detailed cost estimates for new business and process improvements.
- Evaluate and implement new capital equipment and manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, operations staff, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve process issues and mentor peers.
- Lead projects and potentially own the engineering portion of a dedicated manufacturing cell.
- Support automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor and variability.
- A bachelors degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or an associate degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of proven professional experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling programming using CAD/CAM (NX experience preferred, but not required).
- Proven experience in end-to-end process engineering from raw material to finished product.
- Hands-on machining experience, including setup and operation.
- Expertise in machining a variety of materials (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, and fixture design.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
