Production Line Supervisor Job Description
The Production Line Supervisor is directly responsible for overseeing and organizing the equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor. This role ensures that all health, safety, and production standards are applied to maintain a safe work environment. The supervisor establishes and manages performance standards and procedures to meet business requirements, examining products to ensure quality standards are consistently met. A key focus is on supporting and increasing efficiencies, effectiveness, and quality of company operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee and organize production floor equipment, staff, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and production standards.
- Establish and manage performance standards and procedures.
- Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Support and increase operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Assist in managing inventory and assembly line processes.
- Proven leadership experience or similar supervisory role.
- Hands‑on experience with manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Excellent time‑management and priority‑setting abilities.
- Ability to handle heavy workloads and tight time constraints.
- Exceptional communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Red Cross training is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
- Forklift and powered lift equipment experience.

Work EnvironmentWork shifts include days (6:30am–3:00pm), afternoons (2:30pm–11:00pm), and nights (10:30pm–7:00am). The plant provides a clean, well‑lit, and climate‑controlled environment for all employees.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
