We are seeking a Lead Forklift Driver to join our team.

Job summary:

The Lead Forklift Operator position is responsible for coordinating daily forklift and material-handling activities to ensure safe and efficient material flow between inventory, production, and shipping areas. This role serves as a working lead, supporting the Logistics Manager by providing guidance to forklift operators and ensuring that procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides production departments with material from inventory according to the production schedule.
  • Bands, wraps, and/or packs finished goods and label material.
  • Moves finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory (yard or warehouse).
  • Support the team by training and assisting load builders and forklift operators in product knowledge and correct load assembly procedures.
  • Identify and communicate operational issues, delays, or safety concerns to management.
  • Coordinate priority of work order with the Logistic Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and

Experience:
  • A minimum of 2–5 years of forklift experience in a construction or yard environment is required.
  • Comprehensive product knowledge of lumber and building materials required.
  • Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.
  • Prior experience as a lead or senior operator of a minimum of 2 years is required.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift/carry over 50 lbs. repeatedly.
