Facilities Maintenance Technician

What to Expect

Tesla is currently seeking Facilities Maintenance Technicians who will support site facilities operations at Gigafactory New York in Buffalo. These technicians will provide operations and maintenance support to facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Shift: 06:50PM-07:00AM;
Thursday - Saturday, and every other Wednesday

What You'll Do

* Champion and reinforce a safety culture in all aspects of the work

* Operate and maintain the following systems that include but are not limited to: HVAC, electrical systems, instrumentation & controls, wastewater treatment, bulk chemical, and gas distribution

* Coordinate and supervise vendors or contractors in performing repairs, maintenance, or upgrades of electrical equipment and systems

* Coordinate and perform hands-on installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs (including preventive maintenance) as needed

* Coordinate and maintain spares and consumables for various systems

* Respond promptly to calls/issues in the building from Tesla Security, Workplace, or Janitorial

* Identify and implement energy and utility conservation measures

What You'll Bring

* Vocational/Trade Certification and/or relevant work or military experience is preferred

* Knowledge of safe work practices that include OSHA & Emergency Response Training, fall protection, 70E, and LOTO procedures

* Detail-oriented, positive attitude, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities

* Display a positive attitude and practice a strong work ethic that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of Tesla

* Practice and encourage safe work practices in all aspects of your job

* Come to work every day on-time and "ready to work"

Expected Compensation

* Maintenance Support I - $25.88 - $28.80/hour

* Maintenance Support II - $30.46 - $33.67/hour

* Maintenance Support III - $33.09 - $38.46/hour

+ cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
