Overview
Our client, a regional law firm with a national presence, is seeking a mid-level securities and capital markets attorney with four to eight years of experience for the firm’s Buffalo office. The candidate will represent issuers and investment banks in public and private offerings of securities, and advise publicly traded companies on compliance with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, exchange listing standards, and corporate governance requirements.
Candidates must have relevant prior law firm experience and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A passion for client service is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent drafting and negotiation experience and strong academics.
- Represent issuers and investment banks in public and private offerings of securities.
- Advise publicly traded companies on compliance with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, exchange listing standards, and corporate governance requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client service.
- Draft and negotiate securities-related agreements and documents.
- 4–8 years of experience in securities and capital markets at a law firm.
- Experience representing issuers and investment banks in offerings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong academic credentials.
As of this posting, the estimated annual base salary range for this position is $139,000 – $177,000. Actual base salary will be based upon criteria such as qualifications, experience, and skill level.
