RoleThe Trusts & Estates Team seeks a Paralegal who brings a positive, flexible attitude to assist multiple attorneys.
Qualifications- 3+ years of estate administration experience (required)
- Experience preparing estate and trust accountings (required)
- Experience preparing estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns (required)
- High initiative and ability to manage numerous ongoing projects in a busy environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong proofreading and analytical skills to ensure top quality of legal documents
- Proficiency with MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, and technology resources
- Interact with clients in person, on the phone, via email and video conferencing
- Draft, edit, and review probate and administration related documents
- Assist clients with retitling assets
- Assemble and organize financial records for estate tax returns and audits
- Prepare, edit, and review estate tax returns
- Prepare fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both informal and formal settlement of estates and trusts

SalarySalary varies by location and hours. Example:
Albany: $33.34 - $40.00/hour;
New York City: $43.96 - $52.20/hour. (Hourly rates and schedules indicated per city.)
