The Trusts & Estates Team seeks a Paralegal who brings a positive, flexible attitude to assist multiple attorneys.

• 3+ years of estate administration experience (required)
• Experience preparing estate and trust accountings (required)
• Experience preparing estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns (required)
• High initiative and ability to manage numerous ongoing projects in a busy environment
• Exceptional oral and written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong proofreading and analytical skills to ensure top quality of legal documents
• Proficiency with MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, and technology resources

• Interact with clients in person, on the phone, via email and video conferencing
• Draft, edit, and review probate and administration related documents
• Assist clients with retitling assets
• Assemble and organize financial records for estate tax returns and audits
• Prepare, edit, and review estate tax returns
• Prepare fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both informal and formal settlement of estates and trusts

Salary varies by location and hours. Example:
Albany: $33.34 - $40.00/hour;
New York City: $43.96 - $52.20/hour. (Hourly rates and schedules indicated per city.)
