Your role and responsibilities

Start and end dates for this internship is June 24, 2026 and ends July 31, 2026.

As part of an effort to engage with and develop talent, IBM is seeking interns who are interested in a paid internship where one can not only build upon their professional skills but also experience IBM culture. P-TECH interns will build upon their professionalism and technical skills by immersing themselves into current IBM work. Interns will collaborate to research and develop solutions for clients while showcasing their skill sets and receiving guidance and mentoring from IBMers.

Project/Business areas may include, but not be limited to the following: Cloud, Consulting, Data & Analytics, Design & UX, Enterprise Operations, Infrastructure & Technology, Product Management, Project Management, Research, Sales, Security and Software Engineering.

No Visa sponsorship is available for this position.  Company sponsored relocation is not available for this position.

Required technical and professional expertise

Level 2 P-TECH at IBM Summer Internship Prerequisite Learning completed by March 20, 2026

* Previously completed an IBM Internship

* Minimum completion of 4 years of P-TECH High School (prior to start)

* Minimum of 3 hours of college credits earned (prior to start)

* Work onsite at an IBM location 5 days a week for the duration of the internship

* Current student of one of the IBM affiliated P-TECH schools:

* Cy-Tech Academy (Baton Rouge, LA)

* Durham School of Tech (Durham, NC)

* JP Navarro HS (Austin, TX)

* Lewis J Bennett High School (Buffalo, NY)

* Newburgh Free Academy P-TECH (Newburgh, NY)

* P-TECH 535 (Rochester, MN)

* P-TECH at Panther (Paterson, NJ)

* P-TECH Brooklyn (Brooklyn, NY)

* P-TECH Norwalk (Norwalk, CT)

* WH Adamson HS (Dallas, TX)

Preferred technical and professional experience

* HS/college attendance 90%+

* GPA: 2.6+

* Level 1 badge verified
