The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full‑time Housepersons to join our lodging team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning of hotel public areas, rooms, and restrooms in accordance with operating standards.

$15.00 - $18.00 / hour

• Notify managers if major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and steam clean carpets.
• Remove dirty linens and transport clean linens to housekeeping carts and storage closets.

• Minimum of 1 year of working in the hospitality industry preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.

• Frequent walking, standing, and kneeling for the entire length of the shift.
• Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete washing duties.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
• Working conditions include being regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Southland Casino Hotel, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 2 200 slot machines, live blackjack, craps, and roulette tables, simulcast wagering, and sports book.
