The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible for the oversight of services and the coordination and supervision of staff.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Completes systems orientation for staff new Behavioral Health
- Participates in, writes, and implements program specific training materials, resources and workflow guidance for Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Ensures the staff allocations are accurate for each payroll and is congruent with E.H.R. system records.
- Ensures staff understand and promote the Person-Centered Approach.
- Responsible monitoring all Behavioral Health Technicians training requirements for the first 60 days and annually thereafter.
- Responsible for the maintenance and efficient use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Assists with employee data input errors for mileage, reimbursement and service notes.
- Develops, coordinates, and assists with programmatic outreach activities; locates community-based events to promote Behavioral Health services.
- Maintains monthly contact with families regarding services.
- Collaborates with QA to ensure programs are meeting regulatory and compliance best practices.
- Responsible for supervision of Behavioral Health Technicians; provides monthly supervisions to all staff in accordance with behavioral health requirements.
- Maintains all treatment plans and ensures monthly communication occurs with Care Managers.
- Assists with authorizations and billing claims.
- Responsible for maintaining a minimum caseload of 10hrs per week direct service.
- Bachelors Degree
- 1 year of experience in OMH setting; or 6 months of experience in OMH setting
- 1 year of other supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of mental health and mental health services.
- Ability to facilitate group instruction, prepare curriculums and assess skill levels.
- Professional oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using Electronic Health Record or Electronic Medical Record keeping systems.
- The ability to calculate figures as well as amounts and percentages.
- The ability to read and write case notes as well as present and understand written directions.
