We have various schedules available: part-time (18-34 hours/week), full-time (35-40 hours/week). Schedules are typically Monday-Friday, with some programs requiring evening and weekend availability. Hybrid work options (in-office and remote) may be available.
About UsBest Self Behavioral Health is redefining mental health and wellness with innovative, comprehensive services. We offer community and mobile mental health services, including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), PROS, OnTrack, and OnTrack
NY programs, focusing on recovery, crisis support, and outreach.
- Provide individual and group therapy, family support, and crisis counseling.
- Perform assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and referrals.
- Respond promptly in crises, developing safety plans.
- Employ evidence-based and trauma-informed care practices.
- Embrace harm reduction models to promote recovery and growth.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or CASAC-T/CASAC-P.
- Professional licensure: LMSW, LMFT, MHC-P, CASAC, CRC, LMHC, LCSW preferred.
- Knowledge of intervention techniques, mental health diagnoses, and substance use resources.
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with community resources.
- Proficiency with Windows applications and Electronic Medical Records.
- Understanding of cultural diversity and cross-cultural counseling issues.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel;
Defensive Driving Course (if applicable).

Unlicensed Counselors (per week): $43,500 - $59,413.17/year;
Licensed Counselors (per week): $45,500 - $66,242.27/year, depending on hours and licensure.
