Service Representative – Sisters Health Center Depew

Salary: $18.02–$27.04 USD per hour

Shift: Shift 1 – Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Work Schedule: Days
Status: Full Time – FTE 1.0

Summary: The Service Representative for the Oncology and Infusion Centers is responsible for the organization and efficiency of the front‑end functions of the centers operated by Catholic Health. The Representative will answer telephones and assist patients directly or refer to appropriate staff, navigate several IT programs including OR Manager and Lawson, and handle financial monitoring of patient accounts, including co‑payments and insurance eligibility.

The role also serves as a front line for infusion services, meeting and referring all pharmaceutical manufacturers and specialty pharmacy representatives to the Director of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and provide assistance to patients.
  • Navigate IT programs such as OR Manager and Lawson.
  • Monitor patient accounts for financial responsibilities, including co‑payments and insurance verification.
  • Address patient financial questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate referrals to other departments, including pharmacy and new business development.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma required.
  • Associate’s degree or completion of a medical secretarial course strongly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
  • General office skills: computer/keyboarding, fax machines, typing, and demonstrated computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through.
  • Ability to remain composed when interacting with a wide variety of patients.
  • Highly motivated and willing to contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Flexible and effective in a fast‑paced, changing healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of office equipment, including computer, copier, fax, and phone system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
