- Under the supervision of Pathologists and Pathologists’ Assistants, provides technical support in the Mohs Dermatology Laboratory, frozen section area, processes of simple, noncomplex biopsy specimens, and assists in postmortem examinations.
- Starting annual salary is $75,959.
Required Education and Experience
- License to practice as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
- Eligibility for licensure as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Histological, Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time pathology laboratory experience including the performance of frozen section or grossing biopsy specimens; or
- Associate’s degree in Histological, Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time pathology laboratory experience including the performance of frozen section or grossing biopsy specimens.
- As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the required licensure within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
- Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
