Position: In Home Health Aide / Caregiver

Description of role: Our established healthcare agency is seeking an experienced and compassionate Caregiver who understands the importance of meeting clients' needs and helping them maintain a high quality of life. We look for a dedicated individual with excellent communication skills and quick problem-solving abilities. Our Caregivers are known for being cheerful and receptive as they provide care, and we seek someone who would be a great team fit.

Tasks:

Providing basic personal care, assisting with grooming, bathing, dental hygiene, and disposal of bedpan waste as needed.

Light housekeeping, including changing linens, laundry, and tidying the home.

Helping with meal preparation and food shopping, especially for special diets.

Running errands and assisting with correspondence.

Providing companionship.

Administering and reminding about medications.

Assisting with mobility, including using canes and walkers, and helping clients get to appointments.

Monitoring medications and updating health charts.

Maintaining communication with families and healthcare professionals regarding client conditions.

Documenting and reporting health changes to ensure client safety and well-being.

Skills and Requirements:

High school diploma preferred.

Valid physical and TB test results.

MMR shot records.

Experience working with the elderly, especially with chronic and acute conditions.

Excellent communication skills and quick problem-solving abilities.

Work Schedule: Varies per case; discussed with client and caregiver.
