Job Description
EY is a global professional services firm and we are looking for a senior manager to lead our Fiduciary/Trust & Estate Accounting Services.
Key Responsibilities- Technical review of complex trust and estate accountings.
- Managing teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of work products to clients.
- Managing client relationships and contributing to business development through sales calls, client presentations, marketing initiatives and business development meetings.
- Providing estimates for new accounting work and preparing required documentation for new engagements.
- Ensuring compliance with EY processes including onboarding, eDocs and technology initiatives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal EY groups.
- Developing operational efficiencies to deliver high‑quality services.
- Overseeing billing and follow‑up with clients on bill collections.
- Reviewing engagement profitability, staff efficiency and workload assignments.
- Participating in staff development, training and recruiting.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CPA, EA, licensed Attorney, Professional Fiduciary or CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor).
- 10+ years of fiduciary/court accounting experience in a bank, law firm or public accounting firm, with a proven track record of successfully managing staff and engagements.
- Excellent technical fiduciary accounting skills and experience reviewing complex accountings and IRS Forms 706, 1041 and K‑1s.
- Understanding of complex investments, tax concepts, trust structures, trust agreements and estate planning documents.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent client interaction and business development skills.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with software such as Thomson Reuters FAS, Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Thorough understanding of fiduciary tax law and concepts necessary for fiduciary/court accountings.
- Experience working with complex assets, large trusts and estates.
- Experience working with family offices.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem‑solving ability.
Compensation ranges from $127,900 to $291,900 nationwide (varies by geography). Benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, paid time off, flexible holiday schedule, and a hybrid work model.
