Business Tax Services – Private Tax Manager – High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) ation:
Anywhere in the country. EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies, their owners and families, including high-growth and private equity-owned entities. This role offers cross-border and cross-functional opportunities within a globally connected team, with support designed to develop technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Research tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
- Translate complex data from various sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
- Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs to provide tailored service
- Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
- Maintain professional reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Coach and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the necessary tools and opportunities to excel
- Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant tax, business or financial planning experience
- CPA certification or membership in The Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization
- Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
- Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
- Understanding of automated tax processing systems
- Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
- Commitment to continuing learning
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to travel as needed; able to work in a balanced hybrid environment
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client teams
- Interest in providing outstanding services to high-profile individuals, owners and families; ability to act as a trusted advisor to maintain EY’s reputation for excellence
