Position SummaryCHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Infrastructure – Bridge Team at our Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse, NY office.
What You'll DoAs a Senior Structural Engineer on our bridge team, you will lead technical projects from conception to completion, provide guidance to multiple engineering teams, oversee ABC techniques and cost-effective designs, and train new staff. You will also collaborate across departments to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely bridge solutions nationwide.
Responsibilities• Provide advanced engineering guidance and oversight for multiple teams and projects.
• Lead design, analysis, and construction support activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and contribute to professional development of the team.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to incorporate best practices and innovative bridge solutions.
What You Bring- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required;
Master’s degree preferred - Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience required
- Expert knowledge of structural engineering with a proven ability to apply best practices
- Proficiency with MS Office and engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.)
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and applicable engineering laws
- Familiarity with company quality control and compliance standards
- Strong leadership skills and effective collaboration in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep knowledge of structural fundamentals in specialty areas
- Active participation in a professional engineering society or organization preferred
- Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams
$138,000 - $165,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation.
