Job Requirements
The Controls Engineer II is responsible for the development and implementation of industrial controls systems for RNG plants and related skid systems utilizing PLCs, SCADA, and HMI software to meet project and customer requirements. Familiarity with controls, electrical power systems, field devices, operations, network configurations, and industrial communications protocols is required.
Work Experience- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of related experience in control system design and related hardware specification and selection.
- Experience with Rockwell and/or other similar PLC platforms.
- Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and/or SCADA systems.
- Auto Cad Electrical knowledge helpful.
- General knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors and motors.
- Experience with AC/DC electrical systems and components such as VFDs, power supplies, relay logic, etc.
- Experience leading troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of automated machine systems, components, and electrical devices.
- Detailed knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and other international electrical codes such as IEC and CSA.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal team on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be good at multi-tasking and running multiple projects in different stages of completion at once.
- High organizational skills are required to maintain and track all project correspondence and documentation.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
