CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer II opening for our client.
Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 18 months
OverviewJoin a high-performing technology team where you will serve as the technologist for key infrastructure platforms and enterprise systems. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and optimize technical solutions that directly support critical business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong SCCM and automation expertise who thrives in a structured, risk-aware, enterprise environment.
Top Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure and technical solutions
- Lead SCCM-driven software packaging and automation initiatives
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable technical implementations
- Develop architectural and support documentation aligned with enterprise standards
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system optimization
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation and change proposals
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- 5+ years of combined education and/or professional experience in systems design, infrastructure engineering, or architecture
- Strong hands‑on experience with SCCM and software packaging/automation
- Deep understanding of server/client and virtual technologies
- Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to translate complex business needs into structured, high‑quality technical solutions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- College degree
- 5+ years in a technical engineering role supporting complex enterprise applications
- Experience with infrastructure design technologies and system integration
- Process‑oriented mindset with strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
