Project Manager; Data Centers

EPC Project Management Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly driven Electrical Project Manager to support a hyperscale data center in Buffalo, NY
.

This role is strongly electrical-focused while requiring a solid working knowledge of the full MEP scope. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing electrical infrastructure for mission‑critical facilities and the ability to integrate with mechanical, controls, and life safety systems.

You will oversee all aspects of large-scale data center electrical construction projects—from planning through commissioning—ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This position is fully on-site and requires close coordination with owners, engineers, contractors, and commissioning teams.

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction scopes for hyperscale data center projects.
• Serve as EPC’s on-site electrical authority and client representative.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of:
  • Medium and low voltage power distribution
  • Substations, generators, UPS systems, and switch gear
  • Grounding, bonding, and redundancy systems
• Manage coordination between electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and controls teams to ensure full MEP integration.
• Review and manage electrical design documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain electrical project schedules and budgets.
• Track cost, forecasting, and risk related specifically to electrical scopes.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, local codes, and client standards.
• Monitor construction quality, safety, and commissioning readiness.
• Coordinate with commissioning agents to support IST and functional testing.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and enforce accountability.
• Provide regular progress reporting to project leadership and client stakeholders.

• 10+ years of construction project management experience, with strong emphasis on electrical systems in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Backup power systems
• Redundancy architectures
• High-reliability electrical infrastructure
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and other MEP systems to ensure full system integration.
• Experience supporting commissioning and turnover of electrical systems.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contract management, and safety compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, on-site environment.
