Industrial Engineer

Pay Rate: $41.50 - $46.51/ hour on W2 only Job Type: Contract - 12 months

Summary

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, evaluating, and improving integrated systems that support efficient industrial production. This role focuses on optimizing processes related to labor utilization, quality control, inventory management, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination to improve overall productivity and operational performance.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Understanding of standard time data analysis

• Analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish production standards and quality objectives.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems.
• Identify and recommend improvements to the utilization of personnel, materials, and utilities.
• Plan and establish efficient sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly processes.
• Apply statistical and mathematical methods to determine staffing requirements and production standards.
• Coordinate quality control activities to resolve production issues, improve reliability, and reduce costs.
• Estimate production costs and assess the impact of design or process changes.
• Design and modify layouts of equipment, materials, and work spaces to maximize efficiency.
• Lead throughput improvement initiatives and support continuous improvement projects.
• Support new equipment installations and implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
• Monitor and analyze uptime, throughput, and performance data using production monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and engineering.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with engineering drawings, layouts, and standard computations.
• Working knowledge of industrial engineering principles related to manufacturing systems and process optimization.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (required).
• Familiarity with standard time data analysis concepts.
• Practical project management experience preferred.
• Experience using common engineering software and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
• 2–4 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong aptitude, learning ability, and teamwork.
• Manufacturing plant environment with a mix of legacy and newly installed equipment.
• Role supports production operations and continuous improvement initiatives on-site.
