Mechanical Project Engineer (Canandaigua)

Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Canandaigua, NY

Base Pay Range: $/yr - $/yr

Position Description
  • Provide construction engineering services on multiple simultaneous federal projects ranging in value up to hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Possess experience with medical construction or other complex projects; large projects are defined as a construction value of at least $100 million.
  • Conduct site observation and reporting on assigned projects to government personnel.
  • Offer technical and administrative support, oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
  • Analyze design and construction issues relative to contract requirements and deliver compliance recommendations to government personnel.
  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
  • Provide field surveillance and prepare detailed daily reports covering cost and engineering considerations.
  • Participate in pre‑construction conferences with government personnel.
  • Maintain professional presentation and excellent communication skills; attention to detail required.
  • Prior experience with United States Army Corps of Engineers projects is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related accredited field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
  • Experience on government‑client projects preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. groupe Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects is a plus.
  • Experience with large campus‑type projects preferred.
  • Mechanical systems experience preferred.
