National Grid is hiring a Technical Training Manager - Electric UNY. This role can sit in either our Albany NY, Syracause NY or Buffalo/Niagara Falls NY, location.

Job Purpose

The Technical Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing technical training programs for Electric UNY employees. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, promotes safety, and supports workforce development through innovative learning solutions and technology-driven tools.

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and deliver technical training programs for electric operations staff.
  • Manage and maintain training content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Utilize Share Point for organizing and sharing training materials and resources.
  • Leverage Power BI to analyze training data, track performance metrics, and generate actionable reports.
  • Create and maintain documentation using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in all training programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training or electric utility operations.
  • Strong knowledge of electric utility systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Share Point ,
    Power BI
    , Learning Management Systems
    , and Microsoft Office Suite
    .
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and blended learning approaches.

$147,000 - $176,000 a year
