For our team in Buffalo, USA we are looking for a project engineer, who enjoys working for an innovative and growing world market leader.

This position is based in Buffalo, USA, however, other USA locations will be considered based on the applicant's experience.

As a Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of our USA based team, responsible for a wide range of system engineering duties, including system design & engineering support and system deployment support of IP Based Passenger Information Systems and Rolling Stock/Bus CCTV Systems. The following tasks will be part of this role:

• Being the initial point of contact for project engineering requirements.
• Leading technical meetings with the customer and leading the project team in internal design meetings and technical discussions.
• Translating project functional requirements to system technical requirements.
• Identifying new hardware/software development needs to meet the project requirements as well as identifying potential technical risks during the design phase.
• System configuration support and system testing support during the different project phases (FAI, FAT, SAT, integration tests, etc).
• Supporting the customer and project team with on‑site system deployment.
• Leading the preparation of project‑specific technical documentation.
• Leading the preparation and delivery of customer training activities.
• Providing ongoing feedback for product/solution improvements based on project experience.
• Ensuring that relevant quality management processes are followed.
• Understanding if there are any gaps between different stakeholders’ deliverables from a technical perspective and driving to conclusion to close the gaps.

• Customer oriented.
• Able to clearly communicate with end‑users, colleagues, and management.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and with good time management skills.
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment, adhering to strict schedules.

• Education in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar role.
• Knowledge of electronic hardware concepts.
• Knowledge and skills in data networks setup and configuration.
• Knowledge of network firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge in audiovisual systems and associated streaming and control protocols (VoIP, SIP, RTSP, MQTT, TRDP) and video compression technologies (H.264).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to travel within North America to customer locations.

• Knowledge and skills in HMI systems and Linux operating systems.
• Experience delivering public transit/rail projects.
