SummaryResponsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, performance and engineering calculations, and authoring on-time reports.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of functions under direction of Senior Professional Engineer
- Prepare engineering studies and reports
- Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed (soils, concrete, masonry, steel)
- Perform test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, and preparation of geotechnical calculations and reports
- Project coordination and project management of Special Inspection and Construction Materials Testing work
- Implement Quality Assurance, and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes
- Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or related
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
$24 - 30/hour
