The OpportunityAs Solar Project Manager, you'll be the central hub connecting sales, engineering, installation, and customer teams — the person who keeps everything moving and ensures every project lands the way it should.
This isn't a desk job. You'll be equally comfortable on a job site and in front of a client, reviewing schematics in the morning and coordinating subcontractors in the afternoon. You'll have real autonomy, real accountability, and real impact on the quality of work that goes out the door.
What You'll Be Doing- Performing site surveys and using solar design software (Helioscope preferred) to analyze and optimize system layouts
- Selecting materials and components and building out comprehensive bills of materials for each project
- Coordinating with utilities, municipalities, subcontractors, and installation crews to keep projects on track and on budget
- Reviewing solar energy system drawings and schematics and providing technical support throughout design and installation
- Meeting customers and crews on site, handling commissioning, and ensuring smooth handoffs
- Collaborating with engineering and sales to continuously improve cost efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with commercial solar system installation
- A strong ability to read and interpret solar energy system drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholder groups
- A detail‑oriented mindset with solid project management capabilities
- Experience with Helioscope, Aurora, or PVsyst
- A track record managing commercial projects from 50kW to multi‑MW scale
- Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting
- A 2 or 4‑year technical degree

This is a full-time, in-person role based in the Buffalo metro area. The role involves regular travel to project sites across the region. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
