Service Engineer

• Insurance (Medical, Vision, Life, and Dental), PTO, 401K, and Overtime.

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Minimum of 50% travel in multi-state regions; drive or fly depending on distance (all costs covered by the company).

Buffalo or Syracuse, New York (Employee is expected to work at the Technical Center when not visiting customers).

• Report:
  Service Coordinator.

• Provide maintenance, repair, and installation assistance of CNC machine tools on location or by telephone.
• Create and update documentation of technical information.
• Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to Service.
• Collaborate effectively with Customer Service Engineers and demonstrate teamwork.
• Assist and train Customer Service Engineers on new product lines.
• Build strong communication and customer service relationships.
• Manage difficult customer situations positively and respond promptly to needs.

• 3-5 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
• Experience with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone at all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Adaptability to changing work environments and managing competing demands.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field.

Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments with potential hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and machinery.

• Frequent travel, vehicle operation, sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Periodic use of power equipment, computers, and phones.
