This position comes with a tuition scholarship that will cover up to 9 credits of tuition per semester at the in‑state rate.
- Remediate scholarly content in the Buffalo State Institutional Repository, Digital Commons, according to Federal, State, and University Accessibility standards (60%)
- Monitor the Library Accessibility Remediation Request Form for remediation requests and remediate content as requested. (10%)
- Communicate with Digital Commons collection managers regarding updates to policy and best practices in producing accessible content. (10%)
- Maintain the ADA Title II Compliance in Digital Commons web guide by updating tutorials and adding new best practices. (10%)
- Learn about all aspects of disability service and office functions (10%)
- Current or entering full‑time (6 credit hours) matriculated graduate student at Buffalo State University.
- Registered for graduate program in any computer, data science, human services, education or other related programs.
- Good understanding of and ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, with attention to details.
- Ability to communicate and problem‑solve with positive results.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Working knowledge and familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ( WCAG ).
- Available to work during weekday hours of operation.
