This is a full-time on-site position for a Lead Preschool Teacher located in Buffalo, NY. The Lead Preschool Teacher will develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans, manage daily classroom activities, and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for children. Responsibilities include implementing educational activities, tracking the progress of each child, maintaining positive communication with families, and adhering to health, safety, and licensing requirements.
The role also involves providing guidance to assistant teachers and ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom.
- Experience in early childhood education, child development, and creating engaging lesson plans
- Classroom management and leadership skills to guide assistant teachers effectively
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to interact with children, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of health, safety, licensing standards, and child care regulatory compliance
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering early childhood growth and development
- CDA credential, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent certification)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred
