Associate Head of School, Upper School Head

Nichols School is searching for its next Associate Head of School and Upper School Head, a leader who will guide grades 9–12 and help shape the academic program for grades 5–12. • Master’s degree in education, leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience. Independent school experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving institutional or divisional赁 change with measurable results.
• Strong background in curriculum development, professional supervision, and instructional leadership.
• Proven ability to hold teams to high standards with clarity, compassion, and fairness.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-management skills.

• Experience with schedule redesign, competency-based learning, or interdisciplinary programs.
• Understanding of adolescent development and student well-being best practices.
Experience leading strategic planning or accreditation.
• Familiarity with Buffalo’s educational landscape or the Northeastern/Midwestern/Eastern independent school market.
