Nichols School is searching for its next Associate Head of School and Upper School Head, a leader who will guide grades 9–12 and help shape the academic program for grades 5–12. The next Associate Head and Upper School Head will play a vital role in ensuring that Nichols remains the region’s top academic school, where high expectations are matched by meaningful support and where students are prepared not only for college but also for lives of purpose and engagement beyond graduation.

- Master’s degree in education, leadership, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience. Independent school experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success driving institutional or divisional赁 change with measurable results.
- Strong background in curriculum development, professional supervision, and instructional leadership.
- Proven ability to hold teams to high standards with clarity, compassion, and fairness.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-management skills.
- Experience with schedule redesign, competency-based learning, or interdisciplinary programs.
- Understanding of adolescent development and student well-being best practices. Experience leading strategic planning or accreditation.
- Familiarity with Buffalo’s educational landscape or the Northeastern/Midwestern/Eastern independent school market.
