Support Staff Substitutes

Teacher Aides, School Monitors, Clerk Typists

Hours vary anywhere from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

• Student support in all academic areas that may include behavior modification programs throughout encouragement and emotional development.
• Provide direct supervision for student while attending academic classes and extra-curricular activities.
• Provide guidance, support and proximity control throughout the realm of any given school day.
• Duties may include lifting, feeding, and personal care duties that may include toileting and personal hygiene as noted on the student’s IEP.

• Managing order and cleanliness in cafeteria, hallway and in a classroom setting.
• Ability to gain and hold the confidence of and to maintain a patient and understanding attitude toward school children.
• Ability to maintain order and to enforce school regulations with firmness.
• Ability to lift and carry cafeteria supplies and materials.

• General office duties – must have ability to assist in an office setting in a professional, welcoming and efficient manner when interacting with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to multitask, maintain confidential information, and be part of an office team.
• Must also have a willingness to perform any and all duties assigned by administrators.
