Empire Innovation Professor – University at Buffalo
Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) at UB invites candidates to apply for an Associate or Full Professor position known as Professor of Empire Innovation.
Selected candidates receive support through the SUNY Empire Innovation Program (EIP) and build externally funded research programs.
Eligibility and ExperienceApplicants should have a record of scholarly accomplishments, a sustained externally funded research program, and teaching experience.
Priority to leaders in AI and Biotechnology, especially in areas such as AI‑directed initiatives related to small molecule natural products, biologics, cell therapies, manufacturing across food, biotech, and biopharmaceutical products, and interfacing biotechnology with non‑health fields.
Responsibilities- Maintain an active research program.
- Teach courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Mentor and advise graduate and other students.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers and clinicians across the university and affiliated institutes.
