Locum Jobs Online  is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Anesthesiology - Cardiac MD in New York!

A highly respected private anesthesia practice in  Upstate New York  is seeking  full-time Cardiac Anesthesiologists  to support a rapidly expanding cardiac surgery program. This opportunity is based within a  high-volume inpatient heart center  and offers a strong case mix, modern facilities, and long-term practice stability.

Physicians will provide anesthesia care for complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries, working closely with a growing team of cardiac surgeons and experienced perioperative staff. The practice operates across two regional hospital campuses and features  30 operating rooms  with a steady cardiac caseload.

Schedules offer flexibility with  8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts . Call is shared on a  1:5 rotation , with first call approximately every eighth night and  no second call . There is  no OB or trauma , and physicians are  not required to supervise CRNAs .

Patient demographics are primarily adult and geriatric, with occasional pediatric cases. In addition to cardiac anesthesia, physicians may participate in general and regional anesthesia for a broad range of surgical specialties. This is a collaborative, physician-driven environment focused on quality outcomes, efficiency, and compassionate care.

Requirements

Board Certified or  Truly Board Eligible in Anesthesiology  (within 5 years)

ECHO Board Certified  and/or  Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained  (completed prior to start)

Active  New York medical license  or ability to obtain

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (by start date)

Most recent  NPDB Self-Query Report  (within 30 days)

Candidates with lapsed board certification will not be considered
